Growing up in East County, my journey in education and faith is deeply rooted in the
communities I’ve grown up in and now serve. I’m a member of Queen of Angels Parish in Alpine
and remain active in Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, where I served as Religious Education
Director, reader, and usher. These roles showed me the power of Catholic catechesis to
transform families and deepen devotion, especially through the Rosary and Divine Mercy. My
love of science led me to earn a Bachelor of Science in Physics. Still, my greatest joy is
watching my twin toddlers grow in their love for God, inspiring my teaching daily. I began
teaching as a guest teacher in public schools and completed my student teaching in first grade.
For the past five years, I’ve taught in Catholic schools, where I’ve seen students grow in both
knowledge and virtue. First grade is my favorite, it's where students begin to read, fall in love
with learning, and prepare their hearts for the sacraments. My teaching philosophy centers on
partnering with families to help children grow in faith, academics, and character. As I complete
my Master’s in Teaching at Point Loma Nazarene University, I remain committed to serving
wherever God calls.
